Every small business journey is unique – full of passion, challenges and constant learning. Today, we\u2019d like to introduce you to Lelet Sarapik, the founder of Pabeributiik O\u00dc. While she works full-time in the finance sector, she finds balance and creativity through her handmade paper crafts. From keepsake boxes to wedding invitations, her products are born out of a love for beauty and attention to detail. We spoke with Lelet about entrepreneurship, lessons learned and how SimplBooks has supported her every step of the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tell us a bit about yourself and your company<\/h2>\n

I\u2019m a finance specialist with over 12 years of experience as an accountant and financial controller, as well as nearly five years in banking. I currently work in a large company but I also run a small business as a side project. My company Pabeributiik O\u00dc<\/a>, is focused on creating beautiful paper and cardboard products. I design keepsakes like photo albums and memory boxes, along with greeting cards, invitations, cake toppers, and more – mainly as custom orders to provide my clients with personal and thoughtful creations.<\/p>\n

Your business is about to turn 10 years old. What\u2019s the most important or interesting lesson you’ve learned so far?<\/h2>\n

The most important lesson I\u2019ve learned is: \u201cDon\u2019t forget yourself!\u201d<\/em> As a small business owner, it\u2019s tempting to say yes to every request and fulfill every order. But over time, I\u2019ve realized that you don\u2019t have to say \u201cyes\u201d to everything. When you\u2019re exhausted and overworked, both the quality of your work and the joy of creating start to suffer. I\u2019ve found that if a client truly values my work, they\u2019re willing to wait. That gives me the space to work more calmly and with care – and most importantly to enjoy the process of creating something beautiful.<\/p>\n

What experience did you have with accounting and accounting software before SimplBooks?<\/h2>\n

During my university studies I used a variety of accounting software aimed at small and medium – sized businesses. Over the years I\u2019ve also worked with complex systems designed for large corporations. And like many small business owners who wear many hats, I\u2019ve occasionally helped friends with accounting-related questions. Because of that I\u2019ve used tools like E-arveldaja and Merit Aktiva as well.<\/p>\n

What would you say are the biggest advantages of SimplBooks compared to other tools?<\/h2>\n

The biggest advantages of SimplBooks are its simplicity and user-friendly interface. The structure is logical, the design is modern and clean and it\u2019s easy to use even if you don\u2019t have an accounting background. I\u2019ve also had great experiences with their customer support – responses are quick and the help guides are clear and comprehensive, allowing me to solve most things on my own. All of that makes SimplBooks a tool that\u2019s easy to start with and pleasant to keep using.<\/p>\n

Has SimplBooks helped you solve any issues or improve your workflow?<\/h2>\n

Definitely! SimplBooks has made my day-to-day processes much more efficient. Invoicing is fast and consistent thanks to templates, the bank integration makes handling payments smooth, and exporting reports takes just a few clicks. Everything is logically organized and easy to find which saves time and reduces the risk of mistakes.<\/p>\n

Which features do you use most often in SimplBooks?<\/h2>\n

I mostly use purchase and sales invoicing, fixed asset tracking, inventory management, generating and exporting reports and tasks related to financial entries.<\/p>\n

What has been the most surprising or positive discovery while using SimplBooks?<\/h2>\n

When I needed to hire a short – term employee, I was pleasantly surprised at how simple and logical the payroll function was in SimplBooks. In fact, there have been many positive surprises over the years. I\u2019ve been using the software for nearly 10 years – basically since my business started. It\u2019s been great to see how the platform has continued to evolve with a clear goal in mind: to make accounting simple and accessible. Accounting isn\u2019t rocket science – and with SimplBooks, it really feels that way.<\/p>\n

Would you recommend SimplBooks to others? Why?<\/h2>\n

Yes, yes, and yes again! SimplBooks is truly the best accounting software out there.
